My nephew asked me " aunty, did you ever hear of puddle of mudd or blink 182 or.... " A litany of questions... my answers as I recall were - "no, no, no, um no..." Cool Aunt in someways but not in the latest and greatest music to hit the street kinda way.
So I find myself listening to the radio for band names he may have thrown out at me in the last 5 years or so... The first time I heard this song - I LOVED IT!
I remember being so excited I couldn't sleep - waiting for the phone to ring to say - yep, we have a baby... I remember the first time I saw him, held him... The first gift I ever gave him - the giant - DINO - that was 10 times the size of him....
Now he's 6ft 2... a young man of few words - in his first year apprenticeship and we both dig the same song... How did that happen? When did that happen?
How do you tell a 17yr old young man he fills up your heart so that it feels like there is no room left to love him anymore than you already do - yet it keeps growing...
